District & Sessions Judge’s Court, Vijayapura was Established in the year 1904.

Vijayapura Taluka consists of 5 District Courts, 2 Family Court, 1 Labour Court, 4 Sr.Civil Judge’s Court, 1 Prl.Civil Judge Court, 5 Addl.C.J & JMFC Courts.

Indi taluka consists of 1 Senior Civil Judge Court and 2 Civil Judge Courts.

Sindagi taluka consists of 2 Senior Civil Judge Courts and 2 Civil Judge Courts.

B.Bagewadi taluka consists of 2 Senior Civil Judge Courts and 2 Civil Judge Courts.

Muddebihal taluka consists of 1 Senior Civil Judge Court and 1 Civil Judge Court.

Infrastructure

Vijayapura Court Complex :

All 18 Courts are running in own building equipped with furnitures and ICT equipments.

Sindagi Court Complex :

All 4 Courts are running in own building equipped with furnitures and ICT equipments.

Indi Court Complex :

All 3 Courts are running in own building. Civil Judge court sitting in Old Court Building and Senior Civil Judge and Addl Civil Judge Court sitting in New building inaugurated on 24.02.2019, equipped with furnitures and ICT equipments.

Bagewadi Court Complex :

All 4 Courts are running in own building i.e New Court Building inaugurated on 07.04.2012, equipped with furnitures and ICT equipments .

Muddebihal Court Complex :

All 2 Courts are running in own building i.e New Court Building inaugurated on 13.02.2016, equipped with furnitures and ICT equipments.

E-courts Mission Mode project is successfully implemented in Vijayapura, Indi, Sindgi, Muddebihal and Basavan Bagewadi Courts. 

About Vijayapura District :

Bijapur, officially known as Vijayapura, is the district headquarters of Bijapur District of Karnataka state. The district is bounded by Solapur district on the North and Sangali on the North-West, Belgaum district on the West, Bagalkot on the South, Gulbarga on the East and by Raichur on the South-East.

Central government approved the request to rename the city from Bijapur to “Vijayapura” on November 1, 2014.

Vijayapura district belongs to the Belagavi Division of Karnataka. It is made up of two sub-divisions. The Vijayapura subdivision includes Vijayapura, Basavan Bagewadi and Muddebihal Taluk. Indi subdivision consists of Indi and Sindagi Taluk.
